Shipment Planner
Enter your cargo once and take it step by step from cartons to pallets, containers, freight options and landed cost. No account needed.
1. Cargo
Enter each SKU once. Every later step reuses these cartons; you never re-enter dimensions or weights.
Some columns could not be matched automatically. Choose which column of your file holds each value (* = required).

2. Shipment summary
Enter your cargo in step 1 and continue to see the summary.

Air volumetric divisor
Volumetric weight = length × width × height (in ) ÷ . Divisors differ by carrier and service; check the one that applies to your shipment.
3. Palletize
Pallet included
Pallet included
The cargo changed since these pallets were calculated.
4. Container planning
Freight cost per container (optional)
With a cost for every container type used, combinations are ranked by lowest total entered cost.
Three-letter code, e.g. USD
Clearance (optional)
The cargo changed since the containers were planned.
Direct carton loading
Palletized loading
5. Load plan
Plan containers in step 4 to see the 2D and 3D load plan.
Direct carton loading
Palletized loading
6. Freight comparison
Shipment volume and weight come from your cargo . Container counts are filled in from step 4; FCL quotes are per container.
Three-letter code, e.g. USD
Enter a quote for each container size you want to compare; leave others blank.
The cargo changed since freight was compared.
7. Landed cost
Quantities, weights and CBM per SKU come from your cargo. International freight is filled in with the lowest estimate from step 6; change it if you plan to use another option.
Three-letter code, e.g. USD
The cargo changed since landed cost was calculated.

Assumptions
Every step is calculated on the server with the same services as the standalone calculators. Your inputs are kept in this browser so you can reload the page; nothing is saved to an account.
Packing results are optimized planning layouts, not certified cargo-loading or safety plans. Costs are estimates based on the values and rates entered; duty and tax results do not constitute customs advice.
How the Shipment Planner works
The Shipment Planner takes one cargo list through seven steps, using the same calculation engines as the standalone calculators:
- Cargo: enter cartons with sizes, weights, quantities and handling rules, or import a CSV or Excel file.
- Summary: total cartons, CBM, gross weight, density and air chargeable weight.
- Palletize: how the cartons build onto pallets, with TI × HI and layer plans.
- Containers: loose or palletized loading into 20ft, 40ft, 40HC and 45HC containers and their combinations.
- Load plan: 2D and 3D views, a suggested loading sequence, print and PDF.
- Freight: your LCL and FCL quotes compared on the shipment's real volume and weight.
- Landed cost: freight, duty, tax and fees allocated to each SKU and unit.
Every step is calculated on the server when you ask for it. Your inputs are kept in this browser, so you can leave and come back. With a free account you can save the shipment, its plans and quotes and reopen them later exactly as calculated.
Worked example
| SKU | Qty | Carton | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shoes | 120 | 60 × 40 × 35 cm | 12 kg |
| Bags | 75 | 50 × 40 × 30 cm | 8 kg |
| Clothing | 240 | 45 × 35 × 25 cm | 7 kg |
This shipment is 435 cartons, 24.03 CBM and 3,720 kg. With a 6000 divisor its air volumetric weight is 4,005 kg, so air freight would be charged on volume. The planner then shows how many pallets the cartons need, whether they fit one 20ft container loose or palletized, and how your LCL and FCL quotes compare for exactly this cargo.
When to use it
- Planning a purchase order with several SKUs from cartons to cost per unit.
- Comparing loose against palletized loading for the same cargo.
- Preparing a load plan to share with a supplier, forwarder or warehouse.
Limitations
Load plans are optimized planning layouts, not certified cargo-loading or safety plans. Costs are estimates based on the quotes, rates and charges you enter; the planner does not provide live freight rates or customs advice. Container and pallet specifications are planning references and real equipment varies.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account to use the Shipment Planner?
No. Every step works without an account, and your inputs stay in your browser. A free account lets you save shipments, plans and quotes and reopen them later.
Can I import my packing list?
Yes. Upload a CSV or Excel file, map the columns if needed, check the preview with any row errors, and add the valid lines to your cargo.
Does the planner give live freight rates?
No. The freight and landed-cost steps use the quotes, rates and charges you enter and compare them on your shipment's real volume and weight.
